The violin, viola, cello or bass Dampit is placed in the instrument to maintain humidity, even while you're playing. Includes a rubber collar to keep the Dampit from slipping through the f-hole opening. Instructions and handy humidity gauge are included. Dampit humidity indicator shows the indoor humidity and also tells you what humidity level will best protect your instrument from cracking or coming unglued. Be sure to dry the outside completely before inserting inside your instrument. (Bass and cello typically require 2 Dampits due to the size of the instrument, and these are meant to be used with the instrument inside the case).
